Signe L. Cooper

February 27, 1947 — July 10, 2022

Pawtucket – Signe L. (Moreau) Cooper, 75, “a Domestic Engineer”, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 10, 2022.

She was the beloved wife of Raymond C.

The couple had been married for fifty-five years.

Born in Seekonk, a daughter of the late Frank A. and Ina (Frick) Vendituoli, she resided in Pawtucket since 1967.

Signe enjoyed being involved and staying active in the community.

She was a former board member of St.

Teresa Senior’s Club, Pawtucket, and frequented the Seekonk Senior Center where she enjoyed playing Bingo and doing crafts.

Signe was the founder and Past-President of the Darlington Girls Softball League, co-founder of Pawtucket Slaterettes Girls’ Baseball League, and coached in Darlington’s American Instructional League.

She was a past board member of both, East Coast Drama Girls Softball and East Coast Screaming Demons Boys’ Baseball.

She also was the head cheerleading coach at Tolman High School, where they won the 1987 State Championship, and went on to win the New England Regionals.

Signe was a player on the Hi-Lo Jack League at Chelo’s, and a member of the “Daily Coffee Club” at Dunkin Donuts, both in Rumford.

An avid racing fan, she raced in the Powder Puff Derby at Seekonk Speedway.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Scott R.

Cooper and his wife, Christine, and their two children, Spencer G.

Cooper, and Michael W.

Cooper and his wife, Catherine M., and their three children, Tanya L., Michael R. and Cheyenne Cooper all of Pawtucket; two brothers, Ronnie Moreau of Tilton, NH and Michael Vendituoli and his wife, Naomi, of Worcester, MA, and lifelong friend, Gail (Silva) Marcotrigiano of Pawtucket.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave.

Interment will follow at Mt.

VISITATION will be Wednesday 4 P.M. to 7 P.M.
